X-treme Youth

X-treme is for our high school youth grades 9-12.   It is open to the community.  We meet on a regular basis and try to have special activities on a monthly basis.  Additionally we have 2 bigger trips (YRU and Mission Trip) scheduled for the year.

Dinner and?

We meet on a weekly basis (with some exceptions) on Sunday nights from 6-8pm for our Dinner and? Program.  Dinner and? Starts with a meal prepared by the youth or alongside a guest chef. We then sit family style for the meal and discuss topics of interest to the youth.  After cleaning up we do a wide range of activates from lessons to games.  Come join us for a fun filled night.

Second Saturday of Service

Starting in October we will be working with Humanitri’s Let’s Connect program to offer an opportunity for the entire family to join together on the second Saturday of the month for a day of service.  In October we will focus on hunger and will be packing food to be sent overseas.  The entire family is invited to participate

Paintball

In October we head to the hills for an afternoon of fun in the woods.  Parents are welcome to join us in an exciting afternoon of Paintball.  There is a charge per youth for this activity.

Ice Skating

We invite the entire church to join us for a fun filled time on the ice.  Round up the whole family bring your friends and come join us the Sunday January 2^nd.  We will meet at the skating rink. 

YRU

This is a multi church event held at a retreat c enter in Illinois.  Held at the end of February we head out on Friday night and return early on Sunday afternoon.  YRU will have a theme for the weekend with special music and a guest speaker.  Additionally the youth are placed with other area youth for small group discussions.

High School Mission Trip 2011.

Youth currently in Grades 8-12.   We will be loading up the vans July 8 and heading north to Toronto Canada.  We will spend a week in service to Christ in the local community.  Once again we will be using our friend at YouthWorks! for our trip. We will sleep on floors, miss showers, make new friends and connect with God.  Most importantly we will serve God. It will be hard week but may be life changing.  Please see Dan Johnson youth director for more information.
