First Communion classes for all fifth grade students and any sixth grade students who have not yet had instruction are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.   The six classes usually begin in January and end before the start of Lent.   Following the completion of the classes, the students are presented in the Sunday church service and partake of their First Communion together with their families.

The Confirmation program is a two-year curriculum for preparing one to confirm their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior.  Typically this is done in the seventh and eighth grades.   Confirmation ministry consists of both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, and also the Confirmation retreat.   A Fall Confirmation retreat is typically held in September.
