Born a Savior,
Born a King - Senior Choir Lead Worship on Sunday December 10th
Holy
Cross Senior Choir will lead worship
Born a Savior,
Born a King at both services
on Sunday, December 10th. As the prophets had long promised, the
time had finally come for the advent of Jesus, the Son of God. But could this
child, born in such humble surroundings, truly be the promised Savior and King?
Where were the trumpets and fanfare announcing the Mighty One who would
vanquish the enemy and deliver God's people? Could the prophecy be fulfilled
with the promise of love and everlasting peace? No armies? No generals? No
golden carriage? From the apparent dichotomy presented by that night in
Bethlehem comes the premise for this thoughtful, inspired and tuneful Advent and
Christmas work from the talented John Purifoy. Your dedicated musicians of Holy
Cross will present this work during both worship services.
