Committees

Here at Holy Cross we have many opportunities to serve the Lord by dedicating your time and talents to any of the following committees.  Please contact the church office for more information on any of these committees.

Banner – A team of volunteers dedicates itself to making Christ known through Visual Arts by creating banners for use throughout the church.

Church Property – This committee provides maintenance and planning for our physical assets, including building, grounds, and equipment.

Concert Evangelism – The “Touching Lives for Christ”, or TLC team’s goal and purpose is to touch lives for Christ through music.  They plan, coordinate, and promote three concerts per year as community outreach.

Congregation Care – This committee assists in the development and support of “small group ministry” within our congregation according to the needs and interests of the participants, as well as providing services and ministries to those needing care within our church family.

Evangelism – This committee develops and implements programs that focus on hospitality and church growth by attracting and welcoming visitors, increasing membership, stimulating involvement, and inspiring members to care for one another in prayer and service.

Finance – This committee’s mission is to assure that Holy Cross pursues its ministry in a fiscally responsible manner.

Gardening – This committee is in charge of the landscaping and flower gardens on the church grounds.

Parish Life Education – This committee is responsible for providing learning opportunities for all adults and children to grow in faith.

Social Activities – The purpose of this committee is to promote Christian fellowship and family fun in a social atmosphere by planning, organizing, and carrying out social activities.

Social Ministry – This committee seeks out areas of need in the community, promotes awareness and concern for social issues, provides ministry opportunities to members of the congregation in areas of social concern, encourages participation of all church members, and works with the community, other church organizations, and agencies to assist in the area of social concerns.

Stewardship – The mission of this committee is to provide the congregation with an ongoing program to promote the sharing of time, talent, and treasures.

Worship and Music – This committee plans and coordinates all worship services as well as recruits and schedules volunteers involved in worship.

Youth -  This committee’s mission is to encourage youth to grow as Christians in faith, values, responsibility, and behavior within our church.
