Habitat For Humanity

This summer and fall Holy Cross members will have the opportunity to build a Habitat for Humanity Home through the Thrivent Builds program. Holy Cross and other churches in the West St. Louis County Chapter have raised funds to support the house. Now we need to recruit the builders. The house is located at 2909 Thomas St. Saint Louis, MO 63106.

Saturday, August 8th - Porch Railings, Mailbox, Exterior painting

Saturday, August 22nd - Prime and Paint Interior Walls, Paint Millwork 15 Builders Needed

Saturday, October 10th - Punchlist, Landscaping

For each date, we will need 5-15 people with 2 alternates, in case one or two are unable to work. No special skills are required. It will be a wonderful opportunity to work with members of Holy Cross and other congregations, perhaps learn some new skills, and do something really worthwhile. Habitat provides lunch and snacks throughout the day and has all of the tools necessary, although a hammer, gloves, sunscreen and any other personal items you might require would be helpful.
