Confirmation Class
The
Confirmation program is a two-year curriculum for preparing one to confirm their faith
in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Typically this is
done in the seventh and eighth grades. Confirmation ministry consists of
both Sunday mornings and
Wednesday evenings, and also the Confirmation retreat. A Fall Confirmation retreat
is typically held in September.
2007-2008 Confirmation Year
Orientation for all
seventh and
eighth grade students and their parents will be held on Sunday,
August 26th
at 11:00 a.m. The schedule, curriculum, and teachers will be
introduced. The
Seventh Grade students will be presented with a NRSV Bible on
Sunday, August 26th,
and will also receive a special blessing during the 10:00
worship service.
The educational program for all seventh and eighth grade
students will begin in September. Confirmation ministry consists
of
both
Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, as well as the
Confirmation Retreat. Sunday School begins on Sunday,
September 9th,
9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Wednesday evening classes begin September 12th,
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. The Fall Confirmation Retreat will be held the
weekend of September 14-16th
at Camp DuBois.
