Our study,
Understanding the Bible, will be undertaken in three sessions.
The first
session will deal with biblical authority. The second session will deal
with the various critical aspects of understanding how the Bible was
written and can be interpreted in our times. The third session will deal
with how we can effectively read the Scriptures as a lay person. There
are many factors which affect our understanding of God's Word. Often we
absence ourselves from reading the Bible because the various
interpretations seem to counter each other. Hopefully, we will be
enabled to read the Bible for inspiration and insight as we deal with
the issues in our class |
